When we moved to north Ann Arbor, I had a hard time finding a bagel shop to love. I know, they are full of carbs and have almost nothing nutritionally redeeming, but I love them anyway, especially when I am pregnant. One day on the other side of town, we stopped into Barry's Bagels in the Westgate shopping center and I was in love again.
They create a variety of flavored bagels that are a touch crispy but mostly chewy goodness and the cream cheese puts them over the top. We are also big fans of their bagel sandwiches and their soups always looked delicious. It was a hot spot on that side of town as evidenced by the healthy crowds almost any time of day. The service is quick though and you can eat in or get your order to go.
