I love books that force me to re-think the way I do things with my children and make me want to up my game. NurtureShock was just that. It turns many of our much beloved ways of parenting upside down and allows the reader explore new ways of thinking. The book is full of studies and insights (I am a sucker for experiments and proof when it comes to self-help) written in a pleasurable and addictive way. I couldn't wait to read chapter after chapter. It forced me to reconsider the way I praise my kids, how I teach them to tell the truth, how much sleep they get and much more. Highly recommended.
